Camps Bay City Improvement District

A City Improvement District (CID) initiative is underway for Camps Bay, seeking to elevate the neighborhood's quality. The plan involves a levy added to municipal rates, earmarked for pressing concerns like safety, cleanliness, and homelessness. Managed by a non-profit, the fund aligns with an approved business plan, subject to yearly audits. The inaugural public meeting is set for August 23, 2023, at Camps Bay Primary School. The Steering Committee will unveil their proposed business plan for discussion. All stakeholders, especially property owners, are encouraged to attend, enjoying wine and cheese. Afterward, a period for formal comments follows, potentially refining the plan for a second public meeting later in the year. Voting is scheduled post this follow-up meeting, ensuring a well-informed decision-making process.
